After having a holiday home at various locations on the coast for the last 20 years, we decided to move in-land. We searched for 3and a half years and looked at many properties, none of which suited our needs. Then, whilst browsing the internet we found Lisa and Pedro’s site “Andalucian Rural Estates”. The properties displayed looked promising so we arranged a viewing on our next trip to Spain. They arranged to meet us and took us to look at 5 or 6 properties, which we had seen on the web site. We were not disappointed at all. The most impressive thing was their honesty about each of the properties viewed. There was no pressure at all. We picked out a property on the first viewing trip and after looking for 3 and a half years, we could not believe it. We are now settled in the property and loving it!
Nothing was too much trouble for both Lisa and Pedro, they arranged a local solicitor, took us and showed us various shops to buy furniture and a kitchen and helped numerous times like liasing with the Spanish builder. This made to whole process very enjoyable.
It goes without saying that we would recommend Lisa and Pedro to take the pit falls out of buying a property in Spain. Thank you very much Lisa and Pedro for all your help.

I first started looking for property in Spain in January 2006 and found Lisa
and Pedro almost by accident - but they were covering an area I was
interested in. They showed me several properties that were almost suitable
but not quite. Then we got to see the house I now call "Los Perros". It was
perfect and although it needed a lot of work the location and view were
stunning. But the assistance from Lisa and Pedro did not end there. On the
6th January we went back to see the house again. The 6th is Three Kings Day
in Spain, the most important religious festival in their calendar and the
day on which presents are exchanged. It was like asking an estate agent in
the UK to pop the turkey back in the oven for a few hours on Christmas Day
and take a client to see a house again.
Once the offer was made a subsequent visit in February established contact
with a local English speaking solicitor, a bank account and an N.I.E number,
the equivalent of a national Insurance Number for foreign residents in
Spain. Again Lisa was instrumental in recommending the contacts. It took
nearly a year to settle my affairs in the UK but Lisa was in regular contact
and when the move finally happened she was there - with her mother -
cleaning the house!
Since then she has helped with locating a plumber, electricians, builders,
the purchase of a vehicle, insurance, mobile phone, pool maintenance, logs
for the fire etc. etc.
In short, if estate agents in the UK provided the kind of package that Lisa
and Pedro provide the British house-buying public would suffer mass apoplexy
- caused by the shock of finding someone that understands and demonstrates
the true value of service.

We started the hunt for our retreat in Spain in January this year. I had contacted another company as they had a townhouse that interested us on their site. They booked our flights and hotel and we were met at the airport, that is where their professionalism ended, but one thing we will be eternally grateful to them for was introducing us to Lisa & Pedro of Andalucian Rural Estates!. I can honestly say that as soon as I saw them I truly felt at ease. We had never spoken or had any contact with Lisa & Pedro before that day and I couldn't believe how Lisa seemed to know exactly what it was we were looking for. She pulled out a long list of properties that she has on her books and nearly all of them were what we had in mind.
We decided to go back again in February but this time we met up with Lisa and Pedro who took us round lots of properties (Pedro amazed us with his knowledge of all the little mountain roads) and any questions that we needed answered, Lisa had all the answers for us, if she didn't know she soon found out and got back to us straight away. Lisa had nearly a full day with us getting our NIE numbers and opening a bank account, which was a great help as we wouldn't of had a clue where to start! She speaks fluent Spanish which is also a great help as we knew if we needed a translator she is ALWAYS at the end of a phone line.
Once we found the property that we wanted to buy, Lisa and Pedro swung into action and negotiated for us with the vendor and the sale went through without a hitch. We are so happy with our little Casita and we will be forever grateful to Lisa and Pedro for helping us every step of the way in purchasing it. We will definitely be recommending Andalucian Rural Estates to all our friends and family, and if you are thinking of purchasing your own place in the sun, you will not go wrong if you choose to deal with Lisa & Pedro. We have been delighted by the complete service provided by Lisa and Pedro. They were totally flexible in accommodating our restrictive time frames for viewing and presented the pros and cons of each property to us, which demonstrated their complete understanding of our requirements. As we had already owned a property in Spain we knew about the legal requirements of buying in Spain but not the differences between buying on the coast and inland. Lisa helped smooth the path for us. When the first house we wanted fell through Lisa was committed to finding us something even better - and did! We absolutely love our new house and are looking forward to many happy holidays with our family and friends.

We were introduced to Lisa and her colleague Pedro by a friend in Spain. We explained what kind of property we required and Lisa showed us a good selection. Nothing was too much trouble and we were not pushed into making a quick decision. Once we had chosen a property, Lisa guided us through the legalities from start to finish. A bank account was opened and the Spanish National Insurance number was obtained with her help. We have now been living here in Spain for 3months and even now we know that Lisa is only a phone call away should we need any advice. A more professional and friendly person you will rarely meet.

Dear Lisa and Pedro, we would like to thank you both very much for the efficient way in which you handled and guided us through the purchase of our Spanish home. We were impressed with your local knowledge and professional manner from the moment we met you and feel that you helped and supported us through every stage of the purchase procedure and contract negotiations, liaisons with our solicitor and vendors, dealing promptly with our questions and queries no matter how trivial. Your Spanish proficiency allowed us to bridge the language barrier and significantly helped to ease the potentially stressful business of buying a house and particularly in a foreign country. Your support was especially appreciated, as we could not be in Spain in person for all but the final contract signing due to the imminent birth of our second son. Thank you again for helping make our transition from England to Spain go smoothly and we are now all happily settled into our wonderful new home and life. Throughout our dealings with Lisa we found her to be professional, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her and indeed she went out of her way to help us. Any queries which we had were responded to either immediately or as soon as practical. She liaised satisfactorily with our Solicitor on a professional basis and due to her knowledge of the language was able to explain in detail things we were unsure of.
Her knowledge of the area, terrain and her close relationship with the Correador enabled her to advise us on the type of property which would best suit our needs and finances.
