The historical city of Granada, famous for the Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada ski resort (which is one of the highest skiing facilities in Europe) are also within a 1 hour 30 minute – 2 hour drive.

The scenery that this particular area has to offer is breathtaking and boasts vast mountain ranges, peaceful lakes, open country side, typical Moorish white washed pueblos, hidden valleys and of course, the outstanding natural beauty. It is no wonder that the Axarquia is renowned for the numerous mountain and country walks that are available. The terrain here is very fertile and produces large amounts of olive, almond, grape, lemon, orange, mango, avocado plus many additional fruits and vegetables. All of this added to the fantastic climate that the south of Spain provides all year round.
